How we help to pay your bills
With bills like mortgages or insurance, we pay them directly.
However, with council tax and water rates, we need the bill itself.
So we ask you to drop them into a Moneyway branch or pop them in the
post to us as soon as possible.
For bills that aren't paid by Direct Debit, you can send them to
us in pre-paid envelopes, call us or pop into your
local branch. We can then
arrange for the bills to be paid for you.
Bills that have to be paid in person
With something like your car tax that has to be paid in person, we
pop a cheque in the post to you. Before the due date, we send it
already made out and waiting to be handed over.
How we work out utility bills
For bills that constantly change, like gas, electricity or phone
bills, we work out an average. We tot up the total cost of past
utility bills (add a little to cover likely price increases) then
divide it into weekly or monthly payments. And if you're already
paying gas, electric or phone bills on a monthly basis (as many
people do) we can simply take it over.
